Life goes on - Winter 2021

Yes, I saw €2,25 for a liter today, diesel €1,80 liter. Crazy, wood is the freedom fuel and there will always be Lords. Always have and always will be so. In the mean time, stay happy.

Better to fill gasifier with greenbacks then to pay with them for gas

Perpective:

The human body can develope about 100W.
1 kWh a day if you don’t slow down for 10 hours.
Mon-Fri for a month = 20 kWh = 2 liter of oil at the cost of 4€.

Joep and Kamil, you can start working for me and I’ll pay you 4€ a month each. Just tell me if it’s too much and I’ll lower the salary

I have a better idea, you come overhere to assist in my pile of work and I willpay for your travel-fuel!

Numbers are correct btw, 70 W to 150 W if you are strong. Compare that to any fuel.

Haha, that won’t be cheap. You’re almost 30 bags from here

Yup the cheaper gas days are going up here in Washington State, bye,bye to buying gas guzzling trucks for most people. Might be able to find a good 1992-1995 4×4 drive V-10 Dodge Ram truck now. In 2008 it got up to $5.00 plus here and the stock market dropped. LOTS of big trucks were for sale. I paid $5.90 traveling down south in Colorado, New Mexico. We will see if it happens again. I did not have a SWEM Wood Burner Truck back then.

Mmm, I think I can manage that. 30 bags? Is that 1500 km/1000 miles? I did pay attention last years:smiley::smiley::smiley:

40km/bag X 30 = 1200 km. Hm…I may need even more or I’ll get stuck in Denmark

I’m still keeping an eye out for a V10 for you Bob, there have been a few popping up. Waiting to hear back from a guy that has a extended cab long bed 4wd that needs a transmission I might snag up right now. He bought it to yank the five speed for his diesel

Does it seem to me that Jo could take up a new job? :grinning:

Naw, Denmark is ok. They have tasty beer.

Ha, you are right. But we have got plenty of that too and from our place it is a short cut to beer whalhalla: Belgium!

The great Kings of the past and Landlords had slaves to work there land. One man, a small tractor and a implement and a few gallons of fuel can do more work in a hour then a 100 slaves all day tilling the land with their burden of beasts. In comparison we are all Kings now in our live style we live and we do not have slaves to take care of. Modern machinery, what a man power savings we have now. DOW and now even save more. Like Wayne Quoted in 2008 " THE BUCK STOPS HERE " but it is our choice always.

I am wondering, how would you name Czech lands.

Haha, yes. The winner is?

Americans cannot get in this discussion. Number one beer here is Bud Lite. That’s so sad.

Well this American can.
Pyramid’s Apricot Ale; Kennbuc’s Blueberry Ale; Alaska’s Brown Ale; Big Sky’s Moose Drool; a bunch of the Sam Adams variants.
Don’t get me wrong. I still love some of the Belgium’s. We now match them.
And an ex-Army neighbor said we now match the best he found in the Czech Republic.

Just saying . . . try on all of the shoes first. Don’t just settle for Converse because . . . it once was, and is retro-back, as a fashion statement.

Darn hipsters have stolen my beers of choice. Pabst blue ribbon and Rainier were my refreshers, dark beers with meals. Had a Coors light the other day first time in many years. Tasted like faintly beer flavored water. Once you have had a good full body beer the light stuff just isn’t right, at least for my taste

My dad is a Sam Adams man, and for whatever reason the Boston lager has dried up. Now all his son’s watch when they are out and about to find it, only one local store with 20 miles of him carries it and they are normally sold out
