A Chinook after days snowing accumulations we are property flooding of course.

We are near the head of the drainage with only a few square miles feeding. Actually down a half foot in the last six hours.
I stopped aggressively cleaning out the man made drainage ditches to spare the new houses down drainage.

Also retained ground water on the other side of the county road recharges the aquifers for the public water system wells.
Down drainage in the named five-into-one Creek then has an impassable 50 foot tall rock falls. So we will never get MikeG’s yards fish.

Snowblower? Yup I was huffing and puffing while shoveling the snow with Dana And her Dad Frank. We shoveling 90% of the parking area out by hand. The snow is piled up 3 to 4’ . We worked 8 hours of shoveling with taking lots of breaks. Wenatchee set a new record for 24 hour snow fall. But Cashmere had over 3 feet in 24 hours. East Wenatchee had 21 inches. More snow coming tonight. Oh Boy. At our house it was over 2’ and more in places where it had drifted.

We are at extreme flood stage now from all our melted snow last week and terential downpours. Huge land slide next to my lake, big detour. My poor chevotafire ingested a lot of water on the way home. Open element air cleaners right above the tire, I did several water crossings to get home, had water coming in the cab on one of them. Engine was not a happy camper, missing terribly stuttering and backfire, exhaust under water. I really didn’t want to do it but the water is still rising and I barely made it home. My back yard timid creek that is normally a foot deep and 5’ wide is currently a raging white water river 15’ wide and 10’ deep. We can hear very larger boulders crashing down the creek from inside the house, the bigger ones it makes the ground shake

Bob, gym ticket expences saved again
We had a couple days of thaw resently. Snow compacted down to only a few inches. Back to -17°C (0°F) this morning and I can see a dussin chimneys smoking in the distance again. BBB.

Norman,
Sounds like a good time to shelter-in-place. Sometimes I am glad to live in the windy, flat, former swamps of NE Indiana / NW Ohio. :cowboy_hat_face:

If I didn’t want to burn up my vacation time I would do that, but the V10 got me to work today. Water is down about a foot since last night, but it just started raining again. Quite a few landslides around now and lots of water crossings. This usually happens once every year round my neck of the woods, but this is the second time in the last few months. Usually last a day, only thing that sucks right now is my beaver traps that are normally under 3-6" of water are currently about six feet under. So I have to stay on my toes and when the water comes down get in there and get them out so I don’t lose them

Bought a Harbor Freight 10" mitre saw since the old Ryobi decided it never wanted to work again when I pulled it out of storage.

Got a carbide toothed blade so hopefully it will last a long time. Since its a cheap saw I’ll cut slowly. Think of Gary Gilmore’s chainsaw chop rig but with a mitre saw.

The plan with any Harbor Freight electric tool is to use the hell out of them while they are still warranted. Usually if they are going to fail it will be right away.

You folks in Washington State need to be aware of this.

In the year 2003 was when this took place, and has been adopted by the Feds. Too! Home Land Security Act. After 911. So if they want to, they can do the same to any State in the union by force. Bye, bye to your freedom of assembly as a group for any reason if it threatens the government’s actions. Many of the Northwest big pot growing operations are now closing down by government regulations. High fencing with consenctine wire all around building and acres of land with Security cameras everywhere.
The Perfect place to put people just like the fema emergency centers/camps that have been build all over the USA if needed. All the governments of the earth are doing this. They are all here to help protect you. It is not just Washington State. There is no place to hide any more.
Okay I am stepping off my soap box now. Back to more DOW.

This morning at and around Walmart there must have been 200 or more vehicles . I saw only one that looked like it had been worked hard or played hard :grinning:

Wayne your truck looks good like a normal farm truck for around here where we live. Year around look, this truck needs a good washing. Mud in the winter and spring and dust and dirt most of the of the summer and fall months. The dirt just looks better on a SWEM truck.
Gas just jump up to $3.85 a gallon here. It was lower last summer when they normally have the high priced fuel. $00.20 in one week.
If the price of fuel keeps going up. Expect a surge in members on DOW and book sales.
I bought fuel at $2.85 a gallon in Montana last summer.

Hello Marcus, there is nothing better in our country either, the government continues to invent new measures that have nothing to do with the law and the constitution, nor with people’s health, it all seems like a big silent war of money, power and control, and it’s interesting that people tolerate it calmly, as if they are in a zone of comfort or under the influence of sedatives or drugs, …

It’s a dollar per liter, roughly. Still only less then 2/3 of prices common here, just now.
