Funny I like the severe lack of all three :joy:

Not only Americans. If it looks like that, big chance mechanically it is the same way. It goes the otherway too. Nevertheless I check the history before I buy a car.

The real trick is getting the smell of beer farts out of the upholstery,

It is getting time to blow the banks back a bit.
I set “the way back machine” for 1983…this winter I have been cruising around in a 2wd Dodge pickup w/ missing door seals. I got new snow tires on it. The Thermoquad allows me to break them loose and drift. Wow! Talk about people getting upset, just try to drift around a corner. It’s like everybody forgot what it was like to have two wheel drive.

Do you have limited slip or Dana lockers in the rear end? Or are you going totally old school driving. Yes it is fun doing brodies in the snow and drifting, as long as you do not end up stuck in a big snow drift or the ditch. The fun things you can do in the winter months with snow on the ground.

Oh Bob,
It’s really super lame this year. It’s some old clunky open diff. I also have some weird carburetor settings…the accelerator pump comes on too soon and there is a little flat spot when the primariy main jets start feeding. Sometimes it pops…I am afraid to touch it though. Zero parts for that thing. If I make it to the secondaries (and its warmed up), then it’s tons of fun (til I roll up to the premium pump).

It has new brakes tho :relaxed:

I have been rereading in the new library that Chris and his Dad has been building for us all. Wow this is going to be a great addition to the our DOW site. Lots of very good reading even if you do not have a WK or Keith Gasifier. Well worth the premium price for just the reading.

Huh? Brakes are for girlies

Thermoquad, the only carb that punishes you for going full throttle  and that open diff is an easy fix with some 7018 action. Wish the snow had stayed around longer around here, I love driving in the stuff

Yes. Kept me busy last weekend. And playing with a tlud. Cant get the things done, stupid me…
One more stupid question. Maybe I missed it in the book. Pressure readings are important, got that. But how do the ratios work? Calculate yourself?
Impressive how Marcus solved his problem, together woth the suggestions. Ratio was the key word.

I take it you are talking about the hopper and pre hayfilter ratios on a gasifier. The hopper being lower part of the vacuum differences. 1:2 to 1:4 on the vacuum ratios being 1:3 ideal. What are you measuring is vacuum between the top of the fire tube Charcoal bed and the bottom of the Charcoal bed leaving the grate. Or any other restrictions after the grate. Like Charcoal blocking the passage way in the lower gasifier walls into the crossover to the drop box area. Could also be the cooling rail tree being restricted by Charcoal in the piping. Any area between the two vacuum gages.
Ideally a 1:3 ratio means a good charbed for gas production.
If you have vacuum gage after the hayfilter then a higher vacuum reading on that gage then the prefilter gage would mean your hayfilter is beginning to plug up.

After 3 years with my trusty LG Phoenix phone I finally had to retire it. Just wouldn’t run anymore plus a cracked screen from welding slag hitting the glass. Phone only cost me 100 dollars so I’d say I got my money’s worth. New phone is a Motorola One Ace whatchamacallit whizzywidget for 200 bucks. Little bit more high spec than the new LG base phone so hopefully it’ll last longer. Got one of those billfold shaped cases so the screen should be more protected.

I’m eivu sixty kilometers from the border and if that happens my ass will be left uncovered!:frowning:. But for now, everything is calm … I hope someone has enough brains not to start a third world war.

I will be praying for your safety fellow DOW Brother Joni and others. I ask that the Great YEHOVAH God to keep you and Bless you, may His face shine on you. Peace be with you in His Words Name Yesuha.
Many are praying about this may it be a peaceful out come and not war.

I wish politcans would leave ordinary people alone and go play somewhere else on their own.

To much pulling on Ukraine to come to the west. Poutin is getting nervous, naturally. And this is the result many unhappy people.

Think about you and your people every day Joni. Lets hope things cool down.

This is just another was to keep people on edge and generate more fear. The Covid scam is starting to collapse. If this new panic doesn’t work out the Powers That Be will just start something else. We need to quit falling for all these games.

I hope this is just a game, I don’t like any of the alternatives much.

We need to put all political parties leaders on the front lines if a war starts to break out, including the head leader of that country heading the charge. They will be the first to die for sure. I am sure most of them would really want to live in peace with their neighboring countries then die.

Might have to replace my wire welder this week. It’s my only week without any serious expenses. The HF Titanium Flux 125 looks good and unlike my old Flux 125 it’s a true DCEN inverter welder. The old welder has started getting erratic in it’s wire feed, randomly stopping feed and the cooling fan is making a buzzing noise intermittently. Going to get this new one so when I open up the old one to fix it I won’t be down for long. Plus with actual DC current my beads should be a bit smoother and less spatter to grind off.

Edit: the Titanium welders won’t be available until March 13. Might have to check eBay or Amazon.

Found one on Amazon for cheaper than the Titanium and is still an inverter welder. We’ll see how it turns out, bought a 4 year protection plan to go with it.
