Congratulations, Kristijan, what Don said, amazing, beautifull. 7th is amazing too and keeps you busy. We stopped after three, more would be more fun (currently thinking a little different with still two in puberty), but more is a transport problem. How do you solve that?
Congratulations!!!
Thank you for your kind words guys.
Joep, we are now 7 all together. We got 5 kids.
I have noticed it doesent make much difference if there are 2 or 7 kids per instance, if you got a sistem established. But definitly having one is the worse choice! That will ocupy you most.
I will get my first official teemager in a month, my oldest son, but l doubt l will ever have a problem with my boys as teenagers. The girls, daughter and stepdaughter can be a handfull thugh even now at 8 and 7 yo😁 times are changing, it was the opposite in my time as a school age…
Edit: logistics, l got a wv 9 seater minibus. That one, by the way, is teasing me for a long time now to make it sniff some woodgas…
Yeah, we have the American version, the 9-seater Chevy Suburban. Our family is also 7 right now. Sounds like plenty of room, until you think of carseats that never fit 3 across. Next baby will probably push us into a 15-passenger van, much that I hate the idea.
Pulled out on the high way the other day and felt an unwanted vibration… slowed the dakota down but not before u joint failed and the drive shaft let go.
By the looks of it that u-joint has been bad for a while

No im scowering the junk yards for parts.
Oh does that bring back memories. I never had one let go like that, but I can remember scrounging for a used drive shaft and yoke. Hope you find what you need and it isn’t too hard to get off.

Warning: Sentimental Daddy ahead.
We’ve had a 12 passenger and two 15 passenger vans. Lots and lots of miles on all of them. The view is great, the gas mileage not so much. There were 8 of us, plus a daughter-in-law and grandsons toward the end of the last one, the big Ford with the 460 cu in/7.5l. We had two Dodges before that one. They all went over 300k miles, and that’s with me working on them.
I only replaced one engine. A loving God gets credit for that. Our little Ford Escort gets about 35 mpg, but I wouldn’t trade those van days for anything—wonderful, joyful times!
Yeah! New they want between 250 and $300 for just the yoke. ![]()
i dont even want to type what they want for the drive shaft!
Still looking in the junk yards. But no luck yet finding a match so far. ![]()
Fleabay might be your best bet. Im not quite sure this is the right one…
Hi All.
I know I bitch a lot about our now highest in the nation pump gasoline and diesel prices.
Well . . . but . . . it is our daily living realities.
We had a visit yesterday from the nearest to us adult nephew and his wife.
We all agreed we remain here in Washington State mostly because we were born here; actually like the wet, clean and green - surrounded by trees. With one or more snow capped volcano mountain Guardians visible in the back ground.
While others have in disgust with our states progressive politics, and taxation, have move away to other states. Yes - Idaho. Yes - Montana. Yes - even Alaska.
Places we all like to visit for scenery, hunting and fishing.
He: Joshua, is a manufacturing plant manager. She: his wife Rena is in a large police department as a code enforcement officer.
They know moving to another inland PNW state that their incomes would drop as much as 50%.
Both still with a now elder parent remaining here to help support.
They mostly keep their F250 Ford diesel parked now. Now primarily drive a Mazda Hybrid.
Ha! You all think twice/three times, before you would move out to here.
Our political croud (most who were not born here) are trying so damn hard to be “just like the most progressive of European countries”. Succeeding on the taxes but obviously from the street drugs, street violences and homeless tents failing big-time on the social problems that they are creating with their forced de-industrialization. Enamored with clean technologies. The now present AI’s that I fight constantly believing they can write better than me! An “Auto-Otto” that cannot be turned off!!
Having their idealists Reaches; exceed their Grasps. And delusional never accepting their responsibilities for their share of the current sets of problems.
