Is 5/32 too thin for a keith gassifier fire tube. 12" tube. Should I double it up. Then it would be 5/16 thick. What say you.

If you haven’t already got the Have Wood Will Travel book, I’d highly suggest you do if you want to build a Wayne Keith style gasifier. It’ll lay it all out in an easy to understand way.

In my opinion 5/32 metal is too thin for a fire tube and would melt. By doubling up and using two pieces of 5/32 metal it would make the inside piece melt even faster
