Thanks all, I’ll put those points into action when I’m back home next week.
As it happens I am struggling to fit that bilge blower into the small space so maybe a smaller fan is the way to go anyway.
And inner tube… I love the stuff! I get whole bags of used ones from my bike shop and the agricultural mechanic near here. Use it for all sorts of things. Another form of black gold!
