a lot of self builds are to find in the internet…now i look for informations and scrap, and have a question to tone: your ratzinger crusher has ball bearings or bronce bearings on the excenter plate?

Nice project giorgio 
Im into building a small rock crusher myself, only done is saving up material. I have a piece of big truck frame i plan to use, "C"or “[” -profile 270mm high, 10mm thick, two pieces 2,5 meters each.
Three truck flywheels, 75kg each, and some various pieces of “sacrifice” steel liner from snow plows.
I wonder as you, would a wide bronze bearing be better, or a row of sturdy roller bearings?

from my experience i would recommend to pay extra attention to toggle plate geometry, minor changes there drastically change crusher operation.

Giorgio, I think all the bearings on the Razinger are roller bearings, …
If you are interested in the geometry and any details, he will measure and draw them, it is actually as Andris said, the way the jaws move is very important and also the speed of rotation, too fast rotation is not good, because the material does not have time to descend lower between the jaws and the grinding slows down.

göran, the topic is for discussions and finding best and easiest solutions…i understood there are two different systems of linkage, a simple one with the excenter direct on the crusher plate and one like this on your design…advantages and disadvantages?
