filter with new triple mesh …dust remains mostly in the dust trap before filter…
on the foto in the corner right up is the inner part of the dust trap…
yes, the shakers are part of the engine, i have made it by myself, but all the old and original ones are in the same way…at your tresher normally one person must stand and always forking the straw away and shake by hand, otherwise a lot of grains go lost with the straw, we have had also in the beginning in this way, but the shakers are really more effective and separate the longer and more stiff straw, only short straw falls throug. completely more easy to separate after in the wind -cleaner engine…
Does the material go around more then once in those? The ones I was looking at building are more like this, which is essentially a hammer mill, I don’t know what the grain loss is but I don’t imagine it is very high or else they would be shaking it.
The top of the line is the allis chalmers all crop which has settings for like 100 different grains. But it isn’t as retro cool as what you have.
hi sean, only one pass-through on my tresher. the model based on the first treshers, when i remember right a invention of the american samuel turner…the engine works by beating by the teeth and striping out the grains between the teeth…
nice engine on the film.
important always the shelfs are really dry…
