Just to give folks one way to get a belt grinder-------
I made this I inch belt grinder years ago. The only thing I bought for the project was a bearing for the upper roller:
It’s about 9 minutes long.

Thank you for this, I have wanted one for years and I looked into building one but the builds were always very elaborate and lots of machining involved so I never bothered taking the time to start but your build is scaled down to neccessities only and shows that it doesn’t need to be complicated. I can see me making one of those in the future but only with the belt, I don’t have too many motors with the axle on both sides but plenty of regular ones. And I wouldn’t call it ugly, it is not shiny but it is functional and that is the important thing.
