Also my favorite 60’s Chevy. I had a 66 with a 396 that I got drunk and T boned around a telephone pole. That wasn’t a good time. Pulled the engine and trans out of that and stuck it in a 62 Ford Econoline van. As SteveU said. Just because you can don’t mean you should.
I can remember one of those Ford’s with the speedometer that took up half of the dash and watching the needle lay over completely out of sight. Why I’m still alive today is beyond me. That car went on for 300k miles before being put out to pasture. At that speed the light poles looked like a picket fence
Tom used to say aint nothin can out run v8 ford ! I’m a flat head fan. Still got one its a1950 2 door with a zupped up motor and over drive transmition
I think that was Chuck Berry that said that. Commander Cody’s pappy said,“Son your gonna drive me to drinkin if you don’t stop drivin that hot rod lincoln.”
Ya Tom Holton I remember those songs. Those were good times when they used to sing them.
Working the wood burner daily
Two trips to the cow sale today .
Thank you for the ride Wayne, wish there were more people who showed how they go around about where they live.
But do not know how many have cars that run on wood.
OK Jan, here you go. This was about 5 years ago with my Geo Tracker running on charcoal. I had a camera on my cap so don’t get dizzy watching.
Man I can’t wait to exsperience this. Thanks for the ride Wayne!
Thank you Don, yes I think it’s fun to see what it looks like around where you live, quite different from where I live in the middle of the forest.
I think your car went really well, maybe I should keep my Suzuki, in case the Chevrolet S10 breaks down.
Great video DonM.
Excellent audio.
Any question that I had, by the ending you’d answered.
Best Regards

Thank you Don for the very wonderful and informative ride. I hope to see you at Argos again this coming year. It is Michael Gibb turn the bring his truck so my will stay at home this year. I kept rising my head up to see better as you were driving down the road. Lol… The cap cam worked great. Not to shaky at all.
Bob
Another great ride with you. I enjoyed it with you the whole way, a beautiful piece of God’s country you live in Wayne. Thank you.
Bob
As the rest have said thanks for the wood gas drive through the gods country woods. Enjoyed the ride
It still amazes me the amount of work that can been done with scrap wood !!
Yesterday I used the V-10 Ram about 8 hours and hardly turned it off . All but about an hour was pulling trailers .
I haven’t been posting a lot but have been DOW a lot.
I turned the camera on this morning while running around. .
Thanks for the ride Wayne, good to hear the ol v10 still kicking along ten years of wood that is awesome. Makes ya wonder how many chords of wood have been burned through it!
Hello Norman .
I have put about 50,000 wood miles on the truck and the way I drive it around here pulling trailers and through the pastures and fields I think it takes about 2 pounds of raw wood per mile.
I think if using gasoline this truck this size and driving conditions would cost me about 50 cents per mile!!!
Keep in mind when I need to hit the road and go ( no load ) I us the dakota . It will get 1.3 miles per pound raw wood
Hm… Wayne, how do you do it? My plan was to try to catch up with you in terms of wood miles, but instead I it seems I’m constantly falling further behind Also, I wish my camera was able to pick up the sound of the motor - like yours.
Wife says I’m star-struck. I have no idea what she’s talking about
