This has nothing to do with gengas, but I’m asking anyway.
I have a zetor 6748 that runs hot, there is water, where should I look for the fault?
I replaced the water pump 15-20 years ago and the cylinder head gasket a few years ago, but I suspect it’s one of these, unless the radiator is tight, but how do I find what the fault is?
Jan your first step is to determine if the water pump is actually circulating flow.
You do this by lowering the coolant level to where working pump will gurgle if pumping capable.
I’ve seen metal impeller pumps break shafts. Cast metal impellers crack into pieces. Stamped metal impellers slip and spin at there press onto shaft connection.
But worst of all . . . I’ve now seen far too many European plastic impellors just break up and “disappear” be gone. Not actually gone; but then plugging up small flow passages with plastic bits.
Then you cn move onto flow testing the radiator.
A blown head gasket would have many possible secondary symptoms. Coolant consumption. Coolant into the oil. Combustion gasses into the coolant - pressure building up - a chemical dye test. Etc.

Do you think you can hear the pump gurgling?
Can I remove a hose and see if it pushes water out?
A colleague has a Zetor 71 11, he cultivates about 20 hectares of fields with it, n, years ago he complained that it was overheating. First he cleaned the water cooler, outside and inside with a special agent, … it was better, but not for full power work. He also changed the water thermostat, (this tractor may have a slightly unusual cooling water circuit) but that didn’t help much either. I happened to visit him and I noticed that the fan blade was turned the wrong way and since he installed it correctly, the tractor has been working without overheating.
only one eye from tone looks, and all becomes good with engines…
I wonder if you weren’t almost right Tone, I checked the fan yesterday but it’s probably not possible to set it wrong on this one, but I was able to turn the fan by hand because it slipped on the belt.
I installed another generator a long time ago, and it didn’t take as thick a belt as it should be on this one, I hope that’s the cause of the heat.
