Hello everyone, Steve U truck gasifier Russian timber 354, it is only part of the gas cooling and filtration the driver’s left and behind the cab on the right there is the gasifier as seen on other photo, I’ve never came to find documentation on the 354, I think it was the most successful as Russian truck manufacturing serial wood gasifier.

WWII Gasification - BBC documentary where they reenact farming in WWII England. This episode they build a gasifier on an ancient truck, based on a tractor from the war. They leave out a lot of detail, but still interesting.

starts at about minute 22.

fyi - the whole series in very interesting for the historical gadget / tech kinda person, this group also have done other periods in farming history, all fascinating (to me at least).

tried to add a screen pics.

Cheers,
Bill

… continued - other pic (not user friendly, to say the least).

Bill A - Thanks for the link.

I liked the part when they cooked their dinner on the gasifier after driving around. Reminds me of the stories Grandpa told about cooking on the exhaust while they drove across the state. Roast would be cooked when they arrived.

I like the shows BBC has too offer; Like “Grand Designs” “Wartime Kitchen” and “Victorian Garden”. I don’t have access to many of them in the US, even on the internet, blocked here due too licensing agreements. One of the good ones BBC Channel 4 is also blocked here.

IMO The shows in Canada and Europe are way better than anything on US tv. One day I will try a VPN and then watch more interesting stuff.
