Hi, I’ve been away from the forums for a while, I still would love to have a wood gasifier and or charcoal gasifier vehicle. I’m finally in the right space to start making it happen, I know my HP will take a hit when running on wood gas with the 3.4L, but I’m used to slow, I had a 80’s Vanagon with the 1.6D so I’ll be ok and better than that!
With that being said, I’m thinking of doing a charcoal gasifier for my first go around, just for the simplicity for a beginner, Any engines running on charcoal that are 3.4L or higher? Is it a no go for that big of an engine? Thank you!
hello brendan, i think it should work, why not? my crawler has a 2250 ccm with charcoal, runs fine…look my topic gasifiat…
