Apparently Hyundai and KIA are having issues with the IRA2002 act because their electric vehicles aren’t made in the US and don’t qualify for the tax credit. Their sales of EVs doubled in the US last year.
KIA has a factory that was scheduled to start production in 2025 in Georgia (US), and unconfirmed insider sources are saying they are moving up that schedule to 2024.
