Just trying to find that video of the charcoal kiln Mr mustache built using Old farm equipment where the wood came out with a ring how do I find that?

Does hard or soft charcoal have an advantage over the other? I thought the useable gas created was dorected to the sh$t fire for the charcoal production.So the final product was smokeless carbon.So how does this power these contraptions?
