Andy, Keep it simple and just putt putt down on your Harley with tent and bedroll. I’ll assume you’ll be the skipper about then. Last time I was up your way and despite your offer, it was way too windy to head out. I watched several nice boats try to head out in Manistee and just turn around and head back into snug harbor … M
Real good to hear from ya . Sure wish you could make it down to Argos . It feels like I already know you well but we haven’t met.
Our winter has been colder than usual this year but the grass is getting green and those daffodils Mike was asking about are blooming. But today the temp dropped to about 40 F and rain . Just to rough to try and work in it so the wife talked me into taking her shopping.
I dug my trailer out of the snow bank it’s been buried in all winter and dragged it up the hill to my shop to charge the battery. It held it’s charge all winter anyway. Didn’t need insulated bibs or my mittens today. Of course it won’t last but I’m almost back in business. There is a foot of solid ice sliding slowly off the tin sheds. Always stay alert for the avalanche. There is hope. Close a door too hard and you won’t be able to open it back up :o) … Trailer looks like it is still in good shape. I still won’t pull it down the road until the salt is off the roads and we are a long ways from that. The snow banks on the roads are 8 or 10 feet high and the snow/ice is above my knees yet here and up to my hips in spots … Mike
wow you guys back there are using up all the propane I guess cause it went up over a dollar a gallon out here. Supply in demand they call it. We have been in the 50’s but we are getting our usual 40 days and 40 nights of rain and I have an incredible urge to build an ark. Had to kick the gasifier project out of my greenhouse and now working on making room for it in the shop.First I have to finish my Isuzu diesel project that will run on veggie oil. Its been plugging my shop up for about 2 years. Everyone take care back there and stay warm! David
We had a few warm days here, mother nature must have had some equipment failures to repair?
Those couple days allowed a surprising amount of snow to melt, we even had some grass patches poking out here and there. This morning, however it seems she got the equipment running again, replenishment was well underway when I got up!
Hi Henry, SSDD here. I feel like I’m living back in Buffalo, NY in the 70’s. We have added a few inches here that were not in the forecast and it’s still snowing. I keep thinking it is lake effect but Superior is frozen this year. Have to remember where the ice is under this new stuff. I’ve slipped a few times. Too old for that nonsense. See you in 2 months hopefully … Keep the salt off your truck !!! Mike
It’s in the sixties here in Charleston SC .Had a good time on Hilton Head Island the past few days. Just had to come and marry off a niece so the people back home could have some nice weather too. Back to the great plains in the morning. When I talk to the big guy tonight will ask for some relief for you ice box guys
It was a great time the few hours we were there. Sure appreciate Wayne and Lisa having us!!! The trip to the feed store in the Ram 1500 was educational for me and the 4-wheelin’ around the pasture out to the tree stand was fun also for me and Jode. The only thing that might have made it even more enjoyable would be a ride on the “Flyin’ Jenny” and a dip in the swimming hole. LOL!
Wish I could have stayed all day! See you again in May!
