Life goes on (original thread)

Congrats Wes. I have #7 coming too in 3 months. You have a cute little miracle there! Can’t quite figure out that trick of going straight to grandkids though.

#7, wow

Congrats Wes! You’re gonna need a BIG Christmas tree in a few years.

Morning All,

I took a quick trip to Tyndall Air Force base Florida .

I picked up my friend Dr. Bransby in Auburn and on to Panama City where we met with a bunch more Doctors ( Real Nice folks ) that had asked for a meeting.

Drove the 318, 94 Ram 4x4 . I drove near 800 miles planing on hybrid diving . Through towns and slower roads 100% wood . On the big roads with 60-75 mph driving I would hybrid .

The 6000 pound high profile truck averaged 31 mile per gallon gasoline and 1.6 miles per pound of wood . A lot of shut downs, restarts and rides on base .

Below are a couple of pics in Mexico Beach Fl. with the gulf of Mexico in the back ground . Sorry no pics while on base .

Hey Mike L , I did see folks swimming and sun bathing.

Spring has sprung .

Grass is growing .

Wow Wayne! That looks nice!
We still have a foot of snow on the ground here. It may be another month before we see things turn that green.

Good Morning Bill .

We got to spin around in a couple inches of snow this winter . That should do use for a few more years.

Hi Wayne, I recognize the hotel where you parked. I have seen it dozens of years. We stayed a bit closer to Tyndall when we were there 2 years ago. Nice time. The best beach in the area is on the west end on Mexico Beach and actually on the air force base. We had more snow last night and is 19 degrees here. Winds are howling. Nothing green here yet … white in all directions (Damn global warming) … New gasifier is broke in. Working on lid, shroud, and cyclone next … Mike
PS, if you go back there, take a drive to St. Joe’s peninsula State Park and ask for a pass for the nature preserve at the end of the park. If you are afraid of the sun, go there at sunset and take a nkd walk and swim along the beach there … :o) …

Hey Mike ,

If you happen to stay at the hotel take your fishing rod. If you have a pretty good swing I think you could fish from the porch.

Wayne, The pier in Mexico Beach is one of the best in the country and they have tables and water there so you can clean your fish. They sell a City fishing license real cheap … The hotel that Sue and I used to stay at near the end of the pier is no longer there. Rub it in as usual !! … Mike

BTW, it is 1200 miles from here … I have a few pictures of me feeding the gulls near your hotel from last trip. You can teach them to laugh for their food. Like a bunch of parrots. Even people walking the beach would laugh too, and not just at me. Them gulls are pretty cool … I can’t post pictures here or I would … M

Helping me prep fuel. She likes to be “up”.

Wind terrible today 37mph steady gusts to 47 mph.
Beats me up just walking from house to truck visibility about 2 miles due to dirt in the air

Tom, Did you ever meet Jonathan S ?? He was in Martel just to the south of Lincoln. Big rainy cyclone headed right for us here in SW Wisconsin. Looks like it just missed you but you are getting the winds … Mike

Hello Carl Z.

My dog has been helping me also. We are working the second shift trying to burn off some pasture tonight. .

We smell like smoke but can’t blame it on the wood burner .

Wayne,
Stay away from the boy’s tree stand. Wouldn’t want to see that go up in smoke.

Yes David,

If the shooting house caught on fire there might be some big bangs.
