Life goes on (original thread)

Mike hope you are getting the warmer weather now. The wind got even worse after I posted over 40 steady gusts close to 60. Sent a email to Jonathan see if he gets back to me.
Don’t dare try to burn anything around here as all of SE Ne might go up. No snow to speak of this winter and really dry.

Carl and Wayne I always like to see your helpers have 4 myself but most aren’t qualified for much

My friend Garett and his wife stopped by the shop today for a visit… brought me coffee. Was nice to see him as he had a quad heart bypass nine days ago.

Started yet another build today… hoping to put this one on a tractor… still have to get the tractor though.

Nice to hear your friend is doing well after such a big procedure Arvid.
Do you have an idea of what tractor? Something about the size of a Farmall M? Chunks, chips or charcoal?

chips of course.

that would be about the ideal size, though i’d take a 8n if i could find one or a price i can afford.

A Wood Gasser’s dream. So many gasifiers to build, not enough time.
All open top 55 gallon drums steel and plastic $30 each. Small drums 5-15 gallons $5-15.
He will ship but if anyone wants me to bring some to Argos, let me know. I should have plenty of room.

Barrel Heaven!

Hehe. The guys at my local barrel supply place thought I was a little 'different" when I got my first tour!
Pallets and pallets of 85 overpack’s, 55 open heads, 30’s 20’s 15’s 10’s and 5’s. Whipped out my measuring tape, notebook and calculator right there and started dreaming. That’s a good time.

Been reading the construction posts all winter. Think I’ve got a line on some firetube stock. Finally got gas for my welder. What a difference! Weather has broken and I spent today making up a cart out of my dad’s old tiller and some scrap. i think I got the balance just right.

Nice cart !

Wow…that is a handy cart set up…good job.
Gary

Hello Bill, saw your post about the barrels and was wondering where they are located. I noticed you are from Minnesota where I also live. I thought it might be close so I would appreciate it if you could post the address or phone number.

Here you go Conrad. Ask for Harold, if he’s not there, anyone can help. Harold’s just a nice guy.

Thanks Bill for the information, I appreciate it.

I once had a rototiller that looked a lot like that. I think it was a Gilson.
Neat idea

Water water everywhere !!

I took this video this morning while taking the son to meet the school bus and was able to get out and back home with no problem . Now at noon the water is about a foot higher and I don’t own a boat. No problem , the son learn to swim at about a year old.

Wow Wayne!
Looks like your next project will be to gasify a hover craft.

Hello Bill ,

I sure could use one today, water rising as we speak !

that is craxy… we still have a lot of snow, but it is finally melting… hope we don’t get that  I don’t swim

Wow. You really got hammered. Glad that one missed us. Every inch of water you got would be 10 inches of snow. We are thawing out thought Today I had to buy 100 bales of hay and the minute I got in the driveway the truck and trailer both went down to the axles in mud. I am now carrying the bales two at a time up to the garage. Sure would like to have something go right so I could go out to the shop and play. How about putting more air in the tires? Will that make the Dodge float?

Wow, a couple more days… and ya might be singing this.

Hope it gets better soon.
