Life goes on (original thread)

Man Wayne,

I know you guys get a lot more rain down there than we generally do,… is this normal for you this time of year?

I don’t know about the hovercraft, the rubber is flammable. I think perhaps a fan boat might be more suitable for woodgas power.

Wayne I could deal with the water and the mud, but don’t that relocate some of them creepy snakes you guys have down there? I don’t like them. Most of ours don’t require medical attention if bitten.

Hello Tom ,

I am afraid to put more POUNDS in the tires . That would make them sink faster , already 80 in them .

Yes Terry ,

Each time the wife would go to the window or out on the porch I would ask " How high’s the water Momma ."

Henry , it has been about 15 years that the water was that high and took a lot of my road out.

Hey Jim , is the picture below what you were referring to ? Probable be wasting your time to seek medical attention if this dude nailed you also !!

Pictures 2,3 and 4. is going back out to get son off school bus . Water rose all day and hard to tell if the road is washed out. The ram 4x4 just wasn’t tall enough to handle the deep water this afternoon but the boy was . It was too close to supper time for him to pay any attention to deep water or cotton mouths .

Wayne, Have you ever considered building an ark ??? Hope you make it … See you in a few weeks … AND I will say, Mikey …

That looks like a ratteler the young boy has a hold of. Shot many of them when lived n FL. Very good on the grill! Them cotton mouths are much more teratoral . there the ones I don’t like. OK I don’t like any of them!!

I have a day off from testing going to see some sites today they are treating me very nice here in Nashville

have a great day Herb

Enjoy your day Herb…looks like a nice day to see some sites. Keep us up to date as much as you can. If its ok with you, I will try to call you later on today.

Gary

Hey Herb,

Get well soon , we all are thinking of you and hope all goes well.

Bet there is no snow in Nashville this week.

I drove down to Auburn University this morning and spoke to a bio-energy class combined with a forestry class .

It was about a 350 mile trip . The video below shows recovering ground squirreled wood on the return trip home .

The picture shows the students watching the flares.

I was working on the Ford this afternoon when the wife came out and said that we had no water. Checked it out found I had 220 volts going down the hole but no water coming out. Called the well man he came and we pulled the well. Pump locked up because it was trying to pump little rocks. catastrophic failure of the sandpoint now have to punch a new 200 ft hole. Which will probably kill my Argos trip but will keep my fingers crossed

I was wondering if anyone could use any rubber material maybe for gaskets I installed a rubber roof on a business and had some left 8’x10 maybe more willing to bring and share at ARGOS .I was thinking about using some around PVC pipe so as not to rub or vibrate willing to cut off what you need let me know. DAN

Would it work for flat gasket? Would the high temp make it vulcanize? I just bought a piece of 1/16" HDPE, but it is not very soft. I need something under the lid of my drop box,& hay filter.

Wow, Wayne that is a lot of water, I hope it dries up soon, keep dry!! Ron L.

That stuff should work great anywhere downstream of the main heat exchanger.
From the Hay Filter on, it will be plenty cool.
TerryL

THUMBS UP WES! Dan

Carl, I have been using high temperature silicone on mating flange surfaces and then a 1/4 inch layer of rock wool between and then tighten it down. This combination under flange pressure forms a nice high temp gasket. Rock wool has a melting temp over 2000 deg. F.

Free beavers to anyone that may want to come by and catch um !! When cooked right much better that a ground hog!!

Son and I drew straws to see who gets wet this morning busting out dams . He lost !!

Thanks for the website with the info on the V10. Might not be to bad to get the short straw to get wet if it is a hot day.

have a happy and safe Easter everyone
