Ehhhhh…my top dollar full prime triple extra large blanket last year sold for 8$
My turn to have the water well dry up. It did spring back a bit. Thanks to a three year drop in precipitation! Looks like trips to the laundry mat for me. And a swing by the hardware store for a toilet set. Need to make another sawdust toilet.
Did sign up for chipdrop. Be interesting to have some chips and logs dropped off.
May your water table spring back up into the zone where you can pump plenty of water again soon. That is my prayer for you Jeff.
Bob
Robert, thank you very much ! ! !
Brrr. A cold one last night. 50F/9.7C?
No problem getting the opened up house chilled down last night un-like during the killer heat wave.
I had to get up at 04:00 to close things up and put a cover on the shivering dog.
Still summer. So still all of these females in my life insist on barefooting, and open sandals.
6 year old just healing up from a nail stepped on.
Wife’s been suffering from a no-see’em thorn in the heel of one foot. (She had to wait for puss to get it out.) AND then a big spider bite on the opposite ankle.
The seven year girl ;first a stepped on bee sting. Now the other foot I’m sure she full foot dragged across a nettle plant. 5-6 time a day having to UNGUENTINE ™ slather it up. (Camphor; Phenol; Tannic acid; zinc oxide)
Ha! And they all say how can I stand lace up hot sweaty boots! Use the right boots with super thin, sheer wool liner socks, and I do just fine.
And the “right boot” has varied with predominantly what I was doing.
Watch through to the dropping railroad iron testing. Make your toes clench up for sure. Remembering foot damaged pains.
Ha! Keen and Skechers are two of my wife’s favorite brands. M-a-y-b-e. Naw. Have to be pretty. Not ugly, chunky.
Me? I’m retired so NOT cold steel toed! I evolved to Georgia Barracuda’s. Well Hubered’s Shoe Greased up in the wet times of the year. Let go breathable in the hot time.
As an Auto Tech one particular model of Red Wings for their absolutely water-oils-grease no-slip sole material. Also well Huberd’s greased from the get go to save the leather and stitching.
Sigh. On steel toed required jobs . . . . what they supplied. Insoles torn out and toe end form cut out for some toes wiggle, spreading room.
YMMV

Leave it to Steve U to make writing about feet and shoes interesting!
Me and the two little girls have been twice a day tending to the farm animals for a friend away.
One old horse, 6 donkeys, one ancient Llama, two cats, 12 laying hens, and two very noisy old male peacocks.
My friend does not believe in mowing. Uses his grazer animal for grasses control.
His two wheel rut driveway is over grown and now drying out.
My low slung Toyota Camry is now giving me worries driving in.
We are now in summer fire season out here PNW.
Watch this:
After his beginning intro; at least skip ahead to 8:00 minutes.
You really 'aught to watch it all. I’ve had in vehicle engine fire from most all of his highlighted out reasons.
And once you modify systems like we do for alternative fuels then WE are the ones responsible.
My friends Farm? Damn. I’ll have to at least mow and rake off his driveway center hump for my own drive away, peace of mind.
Think about your own summer made-hot, dry and dangerous situations, eh.

It is noteworthy as in the video he mentions hydrogen fire from a off gassing battery, that both the Dakota and v10 in all drive train packages the voltage regulator is part of the pcm and I have seen a few fail including a v6 Dakota a friend owned that when it failed cause the alternator to go into over voltage and sent 18+ volts to the battery which quickly began to swell the battery. He called me to diagnose his volt gauge being pegged out where I initially thought the gauge had failed. After a quick voltage test verified the failed pcm I told him what it needed and he disregarded it and drove to work the next day and the battery exploded driving down the road. Didn’t catch fire, but destroyed everything in the engine bay and insurance totalled the truck. Just something to keep in mind on our gassified trucks
Ordered Ben Peterson’s Builder’s Bible, the 2 book 2020 updated edition.
I’m trying to find more physical books on woodgas that I can study on while relaxing. I prefer to read without my phone or kindle while in bed so I can go to sleep faster, the blue light from screens can disturb your sleep patterns.
Compost management in practice.
After one day of green works. That steel tank in the backround has a volume of 500 gallons.
And after two hours of slavery with spade and pitchfork
I also payed attention to my backyard garden, where tomatoes are ripening very fast
Fresh air and sun is a must, so weeds out and bottom leaves prunned
Bob, your prayer is working because we have been getting nice soaking rain. Still going to go easy with the facet valve.
Thanks !
Had to pick up three short buses today from a daycare. Someone stole the catalytic converters from all of them. Just awful.
In other news I was allowed to grab another set of brake rotors. These look like they came from the rear end of a Cadillac, 6 lug and disc brake with what is probably the parking brake drum inside. Center hole is 3 inches exactly, inside diameter is about 8.25" and roughly 3.25" deep. Somewhat bell shaped and seem like the widest part will fit just right inside an air compressor tank if I cut the disc portion off.
Grateless build maybe? The air compressor tank is about 9" ID and fits inside 20lb propane bottles with an inch to spare around.
That is what I did too. I used short bolts and washers to close up the lug holes. Otherwise you could weld fill them.
Yeah I was planning on bolting them together and impacting them. Ash will fill up the rest. I was thinking of welding in a bearing race to build up an ash cone somewhat.
Just not sure exactly what dimensions to go for as far as nozzle amounts and distance from nozzle to restriction. I’m rubber-banding from copying Joni’s design somewhat with the upward facing nozzles and JO’s 7 nozzle reactor pointing down into a raised restriction. I know I’ll probably weld in 1/2" couplers so I can change nozzle size, just not sure on distance and direction.
Pre-heated propane tank air jacket with fins welded to the compressor tank burn tube I’m pretty dead set on.
I’m interested in grateless but also not familiar with it at all as a concept and read from older posts about how they can be very picky on fuel size and species.
Also that milk can I found fits just right with the 20lb propane tanks. Wouldn’t work too great to make a monorator or have much volume though but it would be neat to make a reactor with a smooth exterior like that. I’m sure I could figure something out.
Yehovah God is the weather man. I prayed and asked Yehovah to do it for his name sake. So everyone will know His Name.
Who so ever asks YEHOVAH He will will hear you and do it to prove to you according to His Word Yeshua.
We are the who so evers, this is so cool.
So thank Yehovah for this showers of blessings and that more will come. Also in your body of Blessings of healing for His Name sake.
I am seeing many of God’s Blessings like this happening now that I know His Name and speak it out loud when I pray. And praying is just talking to God. It is all of God’s doing not mine. No being religious of man religion. It’s so simple that we stumble over the truth.
Bob, I did a prayer for you and your loved ones. As spoken above.
Thank you Jeff for caring you will be Blessed. I always love it when we can pray for one another. That is what Yeshua spoke about. It is caring about and Loving our fellow human beings on this earth.

Almost got the hopper filled all the way up. Was covered head to toe in dust from grinding more char up. Only part that didnt get coated was my face thanks to my mask.
I need to get a painter suit or something to put on when grinding, or just always schedule charcoal grinding before a shower.
Also a random question, has anybody ever used a Ben Peterson inspired reactor in a vehicle? I know it’s popular in a stationary application for sure.
