Thanks Mike! Golden oldie, the upper one. Below is how we have to do it nowadays. That is Austria, we don’t have surroundings like that. Only flat overhere.
Woodgas country
Yeah, nead some more time to get the infrastucture ready. Then I will give Dutch John a call. To long ago. In the meantime the Atmos is doing great.
The Rebaki arived today and in my enthusiasm broke it right away. Hell of a machine and a great way to clean things up and prepare fuel. First for the Atmos and if I change over to 8 blades, perfect for engine. Couldn’t have done it without you guys.
Need I mention we all like chunker videos…
Haha, next step/level, yes. Don’t know how. Will give it a try.
This is the MF tractor I mentioned. I bought it and when I got cold and wouldn’t start and I found the glow plugs were toast It got parked here and pretty much forgotten. You got me to thinking about running on wood gas. I’m thinking it may be possible to go dual fuel by finding spark plugs that would work in the glow plug ports and finding a four cylinder programmable ignition module. Another thing to research this winter. You can tell how long it’s been sitting by how deep the tires have gone into the ground. I figure in a couple hundred years the ground will swallow the whole thing.
If you have glow plugs in each cylinder there is definitely away to replace then with a different system. I forget what the unit is called but it is a pre heater for the air going into a diesel motor. The air cooled diesel motors from the 60s and 80s used them. We had one on a 100HP Same tractor when I was a kid and that motor would easly start all the way down to -25F with that unit alone just let it heat the air then it would start almost like a summer day. I actually think they work better then glow plugs to be honest. But how you would retrofit it would take some studying of what is available. On the Same it was somehow built into the air filter intake assembly. On my pasquali it is between the air intake and the engine in the intake manifold. I would think maybe find Same at the salvage yard and see if you can take the entire air intake assembly would be easiest. Not sure where else that system is used.
That is a really nice looking tractor too nice to be swallowed by the ground for sure. If definitely deserves some TLC.
I’mm with Dan— that is too nice of a tractor to just let set. Through some glow plugs into it and run it. TomC
If the glow plugs are too expensive or hard too find for the origenals. you could find some cheaper pick up truck motor glow plugs maybe worth some adaptors. maybe these would adapt.8X Glow Plugs Glowplug 12563554 For GMC Hummer Chevy 6.2L 6.5L Diesel 6.2 6.5 L | eBay
Thanks guys. It’s a long winter and you have given me things to explore. I have heard of people who get bored. I never figured out what they were talking about. If I had two more lifetimes I’d still never get to all the things I want to try.
I feel the same Tom. But is easier to let go. More projects go and go. Only the intersting stay. Clean up the place. Nice tractor, it is worth the effort.
Now, always fighting with new equipment. Got a few stuck in the Rebaki. I think I get the hang of it now. You will have to wait a little JO for the video. First a little more experience.
Sorry guys, no inches (yet)
Size is a little to big for woodgas? Perfect for my Atmos boiler by the way.
Had to release a few blocks a few times. Don’t know if he is going to the woods or the woods are going to come to this toy.
Is there a way I can delete post 2280 from my phone? It keeps trying to load the first video and it’s killing my battery.
I will delete the links in the post, that is all i can do.
Hi Joep, I would love to burn those chunks in my WK wood gasifer, it has a 12 " fire tube.
Here is some of the bigger and small pieces of wood that’s used. The bigger pieces are will fracture though.

I didn’t know if it was the links or my phone. That’s why I asked if there was anything I could do on my end. Didn’t mean to cause you any trouble Mike. Thanks
Well it looks like wood chunking season is officially over for the season here in the Northwest part of the USA. It has been raining a lot. The long stacked poplar limps are picking up moisture inside. It will just have to wait until the next summer hot and dry weather for the wood to be ready to chunked again. This cage system is going to work really well.
There is more than a cord of wood here. I just need to keep it covered on top. I am leaving the sides open to breathe, we have low humidity winters here in central part of the state, normally with dry power snow. Nothing like what falls on the west side of the cascade mountains which is a wet snow mixed with rain and more rain. Here it’s the dry pow pow snow. Just what the skiers and snowboarders like at Mission Ridge Ski and Snowboard Resort here in Wenatchee mountains. I hope it drys out enough to get the rest of the leafs munched up and into the garden. It is in the 50’s degree f. If it quits raining I will be going back outside in my T shirt.

Well the phone thing is weird because it wasn’t a problem on mine and normally mine finds all the weird ways to cause trouble. I wonder if you need an update my phone just updated the android os the other day.
Hi Dan, just my opinion.
Not saying that I would not use one if I had to.
And prolly will in this next year.
As I don’t want to ruin the suspension on my 20 yr. old f150, or hook up trailer lights to it, and have the headlight relays take a crap again
