Random question but how well do those stick on mirrors help with your blind spots? Iāve been thinking about getting a pair for my Mazda since I canāt see behind myself directly now.
They work great, Buy them!
Hey Jakob I noticed your gas gauge is still a little over half SWEM full. I like your choice of song selection on the video.
āHave Wood Will Travelā going down the highway across America.
Bob
The gas gauge has moved about the thickness of the needle from startups. Driving is 100% on wood
Jakob,
From the east coast state of North Carolina, Iām watching with great interest. Iām sure many of us would like to ride along. Getting your progress report posts and videos is the next best thing. Thanks for sharing with us. May the Lordās traveling graces be with you.
Good morning Jakob.
Thanks a bunch for letting us ride along with you .
Like the videos , keep them coming.

Loaded and hooked up. Will be meeting up with Jacob in a couple of hours.
350 lbs sacked another 400-600 on trailer
Hey Jake, I think that Dollar General truck was in Newsite or Alexander City yesterday. LOL
I just got off the phone with Jakob. They crossed the Nebraska line as we were talking. They left Wichita about 8 am and then stopped in Salina, KS to visit some relatives. They are moving slowly north to meet Tom Wobig in York, NE. They had a bit of a set back. All of the wood Jakob staged at Wichita got wet with rain, then was transffered into plastic trash bags, which did not allow the wood to dry out. Jakob says heās going to do Nebraska on water and mold. They have slowed to about 50-55 mph. And the char bed is getting weak with all the water. Too much heat is being used to boil off all the water. He has about 20 bags of dry wood from Alabama he is mixing in to try to balance it out some. He says he intends to alternate dry wood then wet every 30 miles to use up the soggy wood.
He is having to stop about every 30-35 miles for fuel upsā¦much worse mileage on mold and water apparentlyā¦whoād a thunk it?
update: vacuum back to 2 to 1 again.
Transfer complete. Using Jacobs estimate on bag weight and my weight of the bags I took just over 1000 lbs. But all pine and he was pleased with the size. Hopes to mix with the wet stuff and also improve the char bed.
Naomi rearranging chase vehicle to pack more wood.
Fueling chase vehicle back on the road shortly
About 4:15 pm CST
Had limited interaction with Naomi but I think sheāll be even prettier on the inside than sheās already on the out. Billy needs a BIG shotgun. This young lady is also a Doāer.
Oh Grampa was pretty cool too.
She wouldnāt be able to claim to be part of this crowd if she werenāt.
And, this is Alabama. We have plenty of shotguns Tom.
In these parts, when people ask ājust how many guns do you have anyway?ā The typical answer is, āAlmost Enough.ā
But, Iām afraid that for that job, Iām going to need an M134.
Round here when the wife ask āwhen do you have enough guns?ā
The patterned answer is ājust one more and Iāll have enoughā same answer every time she askš
We made it to Ogallala Nebraska In Keith County today.
Many thanks to Tom Wobig for bringing the wood over to meet us.
Dad already talked about the wet wood. Once I started mixing tomās wood with the wet stuff the char bed got really good and I had a lot more power again. I was pouring it in in layers and I could feel the loss of power as the layers would cycle through.
We made it into one more state today.
Thanks for the ride Jakob. As soon as you run out of the wet wood you will be cruising again with 40 miles between refueling. What Highway are you driving on?
Bob
I am on I-80 at the moment. today I will turn south and go down to Denver. Monday I will come back north to Cheyenne before headed back down I 80 over the great divide.
About to get packed up and back on the road.
