Giorgio, Acme 550 are quite rare engines, so spare parts are not widely available, I found an offer for an 89.5 mm engine piston from AL480 as well as for a third grinding from fi 88 to 89.5mm, the price is 90 Euro. If it were closer, I could weld the damaged part of the piston and then process it in a lathe,ā¦ Greetings Tone

Couldnāt the bubbling occur in the oil rather than the water? Water clogs the intake mixture, while oil lubricates and burns in the engine.

oil bubbler i try to avoid because it makes a mess in the horse hair filter, i like to have systems what i can clean easy with waterā¦i improved my filtering till the point that the intake - mixer valve is cleanā¦more difficult to achieve with only dry filtering, when we speak from charcoal gasifiersā¦yesterday we made the water chamber bigger, today another test run, but as said, vertical filter is more optimal, because the water can fall down by physical laws

with the horizontal filter it comes out at least that is best to keep open during run also the starter bypass, so there are less turbulences in the water chamber, a little part of the gas stream goes through the water and keeps the filter medium umid, what gives a better filtering as when it is too dry or dried out during operation by the warm gasā¦this amount of gas that goes through the water can be regulated with the valve, more close the bypass valve, more gas must go through the water bathā¦but, as said, vertical filter is easier and more safe in operationā¦here on the motorcultivator though was no space for it so we used the basement of the former gasoline tank

at least we modyfied the filter, so umidity from the horse hair filter medium can drop down, obviously betterā¦compromise is good, more perfect is betterā¦content max 2 liters of water

Giorgio, your charcoal gasification systems on these small engines are probably one of the best in the world, and you are probably also one of the few who actually uses only charcoal (wood) for all work and transport on the farm without a drop of gasoline or diesel fuel, or the batteries and electronics of āgreenā electric tractors.

Wars and rumors of wars Georgio. Long ago it was figured out that humans are easily manipulated through fear and that it will override pretty much any other emotion. Make sure the people are always standing on shifting sands so that they can never feel a sense of balance. The one thing the manipulators do not want is for people to become in any way self sufficient. We are a problem.

I have read with much interest the development of your water bath chargas filter. I would like to see a drawing of your latest design. I have mostly used dry filters, but as you have reported, dust still gets through. I run updraft gasifiers and also have limited fabrication stills. Could you suggest a super simple way to build a filter system similar to yours?

hello steve, here my son has drawn a scetch of the filterā¦in my topics of the fiat crawler and pasquali you can see detailed picturesā¦how to build easy? maybee in plastic if the gas in this position not is too hotā¦as there is water, normal steel will make quickly a lot of corrosionā¦vertical is the best system because the water can drop down.
