Hey! Green grass.
Ain’t seen green grass here for about two months. Near two week for you three, eh.
So home is where the grass is green, huh, Jakob?

An oldie, and not quite right for a Rural . . . . but close enough.
A good woodgaser ethic: “Good’nuff.” “Close enough.” “Gitter’done.” And now . . . “WE did IT!”

Regards
Steve Unruh

Final fuel up stop for the Trip.

Congratulations on making your final fuel stop refueling on this historic trip around the USA. And the gasifer is running great just like it did when you started this trip. Had to do some work on it but you got it done. Maintenance and clean outs is a big part of gasification. Thank you Ken and Naomi for your wonderful and great help. It took all three of you to do this with the support of the other DOW members for wood and maintenance stops and lodging. This was a big, over one month long event for DOW.
A great DOW Job and Achievements of over coming the challenges that came your way to you Jakob. You Did It with God’s help.

Congratulations Jakob, Naomi, and Kent.
This was a historic adventure and was easily the most exciting blog on the DOW site since the creation of the book.
Thank you for sharing it with us.

A few pics of what was here when I arrived. Mom has been adding pins onto the map as we were traveling.

I didn’t know where to put this so I’m just sticking it here. This is the video I made that foam gun from. I was probably talking a mile a minute and blew through these mix proportions. That gun is good for about five gallons of air crete at a time. That’s how I usually mix it anyway and my set up holds 3 gallons of solution, so overkill. Anyway for a five gallon mix you would use the following.

10 pounds of portland cement.
between 2/3 and 3/4 gallon of water.
Mix that as a slurry.

Foam mix per gallon of water.
3 Oz of Dawn dish soap, or Suave shampoo .

fill the bucket that has the cement mix in it with foam mixing it as you fill.

About a thousand videos of people making this.

Edward you should make a youtube video or post in the forum about your truck! I would really like to see photos of it.

Talked to the newspaper man this morning. They will run a story next week. Postponed picture taking until Friday.
The Dairy Delight burnt down last night in downtown Ashland, so it’s got the front page this week.
